The massive new Xiaomi Max is scheduled to appear on May 10 at a launch event in Beijing. Xiaomi shared details of the event on the Chinese blogging site Weibo today. If you happen to be in town and would like to be among the first to see the Xiaomi Max, you can buy a ticket to attend the launch for ¥199. Along with the Mi Max, MI Band 2 will also launch with a little surprise on the software side Xiaomi will launch its MIUI 8, which features the all new design and new features.
We have a pretty good idea about what's inside Xiaomi Max as we have seen in various images and leaks. According to the leaks and rumored specs, the Xiaomi Max will feature a large 6.4 inch QHD screen, the phone will be powered by snapdragon 820 processor and probably it will have 4-6 GB of RAM, rest of the specs are unknown at this point.
Xiaomi will also unveil the successor of the extremely popular Mi Band. Mi band is a very popular among the users because of its 999Rs price tag, the only drawback in the MI band was its doesn't have any display , but this time Xiaomi took care of this flaw and made a band with a display and a physical button, which is leaked by the CEO himself Lie Jun, The Mi Band 2 looks to have the same rubberized strap found on the original Mi Band, but we have no official information about the specs of the band. So we have to wait till 10th May for the official unveiling or wee will let you know if we get any new information about MI Band 2 or Xiaomi Max.
Xiaomi have something for us left in software part its the all new MIUI 8, which will feature a new design the a better over all smartphone experience with less bugs and more stability. Xiaomi showed up the MIUI 8 in a sneak peek video, in which they showed off the new notification bar redesign
Xiaomi Quoted that,
Evolving from the first version in 2010, MIUI has served as the operating system for over 150 million across the globe. I am sure all of your devices have updated to the latest version of MIUI 7, no matter you are using stable or developer ROMs.
On May 10, we will introduce you MIUI 8, with the features you always wanted and new designs beyond your imagination. New design, with new experience.
