The Google Nexus 6P was one of last year's great smartphone success stories. Built by Huawei, the device packs a Snapdragon 810 SoC and 3 GB of RAM, with a superb rear-facing camera. But doesn't seems future proof as it is launched in November last year. To turn the heat up a seemingly new variant of the Nexus 6P has been caught on Geekbench with the Snapdragon 820, 4 GB of RAM and Android N in tow.
There was a rumor that HTC will make the next Nexus devices codenamed as "marlin" and "sailfish", maybe Google is testing out nexus 6P with the new internals or it is a Nexus 7P, we'll soon find out.
As you'll see above, the device includes the quad-core Snapdragon 820 clocked 1.59 GHz, powered by Adreno 530 graphics and 4 gigs of RAM. Interestingly, the motherboard section references 'Marlin'—the same codename that is given to the upcoming Nexus handset. We have to wait for the images to leak before confirming the specs.
