The second flagship smartphone from Chinese entertainment giant LeTV may or may not break cover later today with a rotating camera, Snapdragon 820 SoC and 4 or 6GB RAM, but first things first, the up-and-coming OEM has to take care of its most cash-strapped fans.
The “mid-range” LeTV Le 1s is reportedly priced at CNY 1,099 ($173) in the Middle Kingdom, going on sale next Tuesday, November 3, with a premium set of features in tow many Western-popular device manufacturers would probably charge around $400 for.
No exaggeration, the Le 1s feels higher-end than, say, the HTC One A9, and looks awesome too, thanks to a clean and polished design language, and metal all over. Fairly slim, at 7.5mm, the 5.5-incher manages to pull off a copious 3,000 mAh battery, not to mention a virtually bezel-free front panel. We mean, of course, the Full HD screen almost entirely lacks vertical borders, with horizontal ones needed for maneuverability, various sensors, and capacitive buttons.
On the software side of things, a heavily modified version of Android 5.1 Lollipop obviously runs the show, while MediaTek’s newest beast of an octa-core processor, i.e. the Helio X10, takes care of your most challenging tasks, in combination with 3 generous gigs of RAM.
But the affordable treasure trove of deluxe specifications also includes 32GB internal storage space, 13 and 5MP cameras, USB-Type C connectivity, rapid battery charging support, dual SIM 4G LTE compatibility, and fingerprint recognition. A-mazing!
