Lenovo Vibe X3 Lite shows up at Chinese certification center, tipped to cost $140

Slowly but surely, we’re starting to piece together Lenovo’s smartphone roadmap after handing the design reigns to the Motorola team, with a couple of hybrid-looking Vibe models most certainly in the pipeline.

The high-end-ish Lenovo Vibe X3 and decidedly mid-range X3 Lite should make the transition to global Moto-branded devices a bit smoother, as the two seem to mix architectural elements from both companies set to become one before long.

China’s FCC-like Tenaa agency already revealed the exterior physiognomy and internal specifications of the superior 5.5-incher, and now, it’s time to have a look at the Lenovo Vibe X3 Lite. This is apparently just as large as its sibling, slightly thicker, at 8.7mm, and weighs 152 grams.
The 5.5-inch display yields a respectable Full HD (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) resolution, and the octa-core 1.3 GHz MediaTek CPU, as well as the 2GB RAM aren’t half bad, yet credible inside sources tell us the plan is to charge the equivalent of $140 in the manufacturer’s homeland.

That’s CNY 899, for the record, and it also includes a hefty 3,300 mAh battery, 16GB expandable storage, 13 and 5MP cameras, 4G LTE connectivity, and pre-installed Android 5.1 Lollipop software. Judging from the product images conceded by Tenaa, a fingerprint scanner adorns the Vibe X3 Lite’s plastic backplate, adjoined to the main photographic unit in a Motorola-specific setup, with the LED flash on the side, while the super-slim screen bezels allow room for front-firing stereo speakers and little else.

All for only $140? Where and when can we sign up?
